Walking: The Simple Way to Start Working Out


Building a healthy body isn’t about finding a single, perfect-for-everybody workout that some clever trainer has been keeping to themselves for years. It’s about building simple habits that are easy to follow, feel good, and do good things for your body.
If you’re new to exercise—or maybe picking it up after some time off—keep it simple.
Don’t worry about how many sets or reps of which exercise you should be doing to tone which part of your body. Don’t geek out on what percentage of time your heart rate is in the optimal zone for meeting your health goals. Don’t overwhelm yourself with fitness article after fitness article featuring the “best” or “top-secret” trainer workout.
Put on some comfortable, supportive shoes and take a walk around the block.
If you walk around the block every day for a few weeks, it’ll become a habit. It’s a chance to listen to your favorite music or podcasts, think through your plans for the day, de-stress, or snag a little “me” time. If you have a friend you’ve been wanting to catch up with, invite them over and walk together—or catch up on a phone call while you walk. Have a dog? They’ll be over the moon if you take them along—even if you have a backyard.
Over time, you’ll notice that walk getting easier. Your body will feel good. And, you’ll enjoy the peaceful feeling of having a little time to yourself.

Gluten Free Blueberry Vanilla Protein Pancakes with Very Berry Syrup

Gluten Free Blueberry Vanilla Protein Pancakes with Very Berry Syrup

Ingredients

Pancakes

  • 1 cup gluten free pancake mix
  • 1 package Plexus 96® vanilla
  • 6 ounces fat free Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup extract (optional)
  • ½ to 1 cup fruit/berries as preferred

Very Berry Syrup

  • 1 packet Plexus Slim®
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cups diced strawberries
  • ½ cup sugar or honey
  • 1 cup water + 2 tablespoons water, divided

Directions

  1. Add all pancake ingredients to a blender. Blend on high. Cook on a griddle.
  2. Combine 2 tablespoons water and cornstarch in a small dish. Set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan, bring 1 cup water, sugar, and diced strawberries to a boil. Stir occasionally.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. Add water and cornstarch mixture and blend well.
  5. As the sauce thickens, the strawberries will partially dissolve. Turn off heat. Allow to cool before serving.

Breaking the sugar/carb habit


I am so grateful to #PlexusSlim ! Although I enjoy sweets, I was a huge CARB fiend! From my very first day on Slim almost a year ago was the beginning of breaking my sugar addiction! (remember carbs get turned into sugar in your body).    Where I couldn't keep chips or crackers in the house because I'd eat the entire package in one evening, now I'm finding they lasts for weeks (and in some cases go stale before I finish them)

#Chromium supplementation is a simple method to improve blood sugar control in some people. Several studies have evaluated the effect of chromium on #glucose levels with varied results, but a significant number of these studies have shown that chromi...um can normalize blood sugar levels, improve blood sugar utilization and decrease insulin requirements in patients with glucose intolerance and insulin resistance. In one study, blood sugar responses to a carbohydrate meal of white bread were measured with and without a single dose (400 micrograms) of chromium. Chromium and cholesterol levels   

Chromium also plays a role in fat metabolism. Several studies have investigated chromium’s effects on lipid profiles. A number of those studies reported reductions in triglycerides, as much as 32%, and reductions in total and LDL cholesterol. These positive effects were noted when studying the risk for heart disease in #healthy people and those with #diabetes or glucose intolerance.

FDA Approved ?!?

Did you know that the FDA doesn't require any sort of studies on supplements.? This means basically any supplement product can promote weight loss and say they're "safe" with no science. This is why ingredients are so important for you to investigate on your own... But guess what?!?!?
